Caveolin-3 in Human Skeletal Muscle. Caveolin-3 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human skeletal muscle using Mouse Anti-Human Caveolin-3 Monoclonal Antibody at 15 ug/ml overnight at 4°C. Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic. Tissue was stained using Anti-Mouse HRP-DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to sarcolemma of muscle cells.
Detection of Human, Mouse, and Rat Caveolin-3 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of human heart tissue, human skeletal muscle tissue, rat heart tissue, rat skeletal muscle tissue, and mouse heart tissue. PVDF Membrane was probed with 0.5 ug/ml of Mouse Anti-Human Caveolin-3 Monoclonal Antibody followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody. A specific band was detected for Caveolin-3 at approximately 20 kD (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.
