Rabbit polyclonal antibody to GSDMD also known as GSDMD-NT and GSDMD-CT whose expression can be detected in the suprabasal cells of esophagus but it is majorly expressive in the isthmus/neck, pit, and gland of the stomach. It is found in the inflammasome. It can perform various functions like defense response to Gram-positive bacterium and Gram-negative bacteria. It can strongly bind to bacterial and mitochondrial lipids, including cardiolipin but cannot bind to unphosphorylated phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidylethanolamine nor phosphatidylcholine.
