ab11346 staining alpha 1 Catenin (left) in Mouse cortical ventricular zone tissue sections by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-Fr - frozen sections). Tissue was fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde in PBS overnight at 4°C, then saturated in 30% sucrose at 4°C (for at least 18 hours). Fixed and saturated brains were embedded in OCT compound and frozen rapidly with dry ice, and then 12µm cyrosections collected and stored at -80°C. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/500). Middle - non-phosphorylated active beta catenin, Right - merge. Beta catenin co-localizes with alpha catenin at the apical adherens complexes of ventricular zone precursor cells.
