| Description | Potent angiotensin II receptor 1 (AT 1 ) antagonist (IC 50 values are 1.5, 1.7, 3.9 and 9.2 nM at rat mesenteric artery, human liver membrane, human adrenal cortical membrne and rat adrenal cortical membrane respectively). Displays no effect on vasopressin or CGRP binding, or angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) activity. Inhibits the angiotensin II-induced pressor response in normotensive rats. |
