Description |
IL1 beta protein.Interleukin-1 beta produced in E.coli is a non-glycosylatedpolypeptide chain containing 153 amino acids.Interleukin 1 (IL-1 ) is a soluble factor produced bymonocytes, macrophages, and other cells which activatesT-lymphocytes and potentiates their response to mitogensor antigens. Murine macrophages display a transitionfrom IL-1 to IL-1 production during maturation ofmonocytes into inflammatory macrophages. The synthesis of IL-1 can be induced by other cytokinesincluding TNF,IFN,IFN-and IFN-and also bybacterial endotoxins , viruses, mitogens, and antigens. Inhuman skin fibroblasts IL-1 and TNF-induce the synthesis of IL-1.In pheochromocytoma cells, NGF inducesthe synthesis of IL-1.IL-1 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
