Description |
SNRPB2, also known as U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein B, belongs to the RRM U1 A/B family. This protein associates with stem loop IV of U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (U2 snRNP) in the presence of snRNP-A. It may play a role in pre-mRNA splicing. Autoantibodies from patients with systemic lupus erythematosus frequently recognize epitopes on the encoded protein. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. Recombinant human SNRPB2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
