SEE ALSO...

GnRH I Antibody (HU11B) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GnRH I protein in mouse, rat, and human samples by immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GnRH I (HU11B) antibody is available in non-conjugated forms and conjugated to agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® dyes. Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), a decapeptide, plays a crucial role in regulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, essential for human reproduction. GnRH is synthesized by hypothalamic neurons and released in pulses into the capillary plexus of the median eminence, stimulating luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone secretion from gonadotropic cells in the anterior pituitary. Precise regulation of GnRH release ensures proper timing and levels of gonadotropins necessary for reproductive function. GnRH I is expressed in the acrosomal region of human sperm and anterior pituitary tissue, highlighting importance in reproductive physiology and potential cancer biology implications. GnRH interaction with specific G protein-coupled receptors in the pituitary makes anti-GnRH I antibody (HU11B) valuable for studying reproductive health and related disorders.

Which secondary antibody would you recommend for this primary antibody?

Asked by: ARISTO
Thank you for your question. You can find our secondary antibodies and binding proteins under this link: https://www.scbt.com/browse/Secondary-Antibodies/_/N-1hoaxk4 Depending on the assay you are planning you could choose a kappa-specific HRP secondary (sc-516102), AF488 secondary (sc-516176) or other conjugate from the list.

Do you have any data demonstrating absence of cross-reactivity with GnRHII in human samples?

Asked by: NDSH
Thank you for your question. Based on in house testing and sequence homology, this antibody is specific for GnRH I and will not detect GnRH II. If you have any further questions, please contact Technical Service by phone, (800)-457-3801 option 2, email <scbt@scbt.com>, or by live chat directly on our website, www.scbt.com.

I would like to use this monoclonal antibody, GnRH I (HU11B): sc-32292, to stain paraffin embedded tissue sections. Do you recommend antigen retrieval, and if so, which kind?

Asked by: TinTin
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
