SEE ALSO...

PSMD2 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PSMD2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PSMD2 (A-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PSMD2, also known as proteasome (prosome, macropain) 26S subunit, non-ATPase 2, plays a crucial role in regulating the 26S proteasome, a vital proteolytic complex responsible for selective degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. This process maintains cellular homeostasis, regulates protein turnover, and controls various cellular processes, including cell cycle, apoptosis, and responses to oxidative stress. PSMD2 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, brain, liver, placenta, kidney, pancreas, lung, and heart, where PSMD2 contributes to recognition and binding of substrate proteins, facilitating their degradation. Proper functioning of PSMD2 is critical, as dysregulation of the proteasome pathway can lead to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.

Are there any issues with using sc-271775: PSMD2 (A-11) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-271775 conjugates.
