SEE ALSO...

CD32-A/C Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CD32-A and CD32-C of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD32-A/C (B-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD32, also known as Fc gamma RII, serves as a low-affinity receptor for the Fc fragment of aggregated immunoglobulin G (IgG), playing a crucial role in immune response by mediating immune complex clearance through macrophages. This function maintains homeostasis and prevents autoimmune reactions, as IgG binding to CD32 delivers inhibitory signals to B cells, thereby regulating antibody production. CD32 exists in several isoforms due to alternative splicing of three distinct genes—A, B, and C—resulting in FcgRIIA, FcgRIIB1, FcgRIIB3, and FcgRIIC. These isoforms are expressed on various immune cells, including monocytes, placental trophoblasts, endothelial cells, and B lymphocytes, with specific isoforms also found on neutrophils. The diverse expression and functional roles of CD32 isoforms underscore their importance in modulating immune responses and highlight the significance of anti-CD32-A/C antibody (B-3) in research and clinical applications.

For the CD32A/C antibody, does one band correspond to A and one to C? Would it be possible to get a sample to test this antibody? I am wanting an antibody to just CD32A, but I see you discontinued it... Thanks, Lisa

Asked by: Lisa K
Thank you for your question. We have not characterized whether or not the two bands observed in the Western blot data on our website represent CD32A and C separately. CD32A has a predicted molecular weight of 35 kDa, while CD32C has a similar, but lower predicted molecular weight of 26-30 kDa. Yes, right now we are offering a free 10 µg sample of this monoclonal antibody, CD32-A/C (B-3): sc-373721. Please contact our Technical Service Department to request a free sample to test before you place your order. Please call us toll-free at (800) 457-3801 option 2, e-mail <scbt@scbt.com>, or use the live chat on our website.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-373721 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
