GRIK1 / GLUR5 antibody was raised against kLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 937-949 (CHQRRTQRKETVA) of rat GluR5-2C isoform precursor. This sequence is identical in rat isoforms GluR5-2 and GluR5-2B/GluR5-1 and human GluR5 isoform 2/EAA3A, and is not present in rat isoform GluR5-2A and human GluR5 isoform 1. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Elephant, Panda, Rabbit (100%); Bovine, Horse (92%); Chicken, Lizard (85%).
